What PDF text extraction is for

Reuse report text

Copy text from a report or document into notes, an email or a new draft.

Create a plain-text archive

Save a lightweight TXT copy for search and reference.

Quote a document accurately

Extract selectable text instead of retyping it from a PDF reader.

Prepare text for another tool

Move readable PDF text into a translator, editor or analysis workflow.

Extract text from PDF privately

DoceasePDF extracts embedded, selectable text in your browser. Your document is not uploaded, and you can inspect the result before copying or downloading it.

The converter works best with digital PDFs such as exported reports, invoices and documents. A photographed or scanned page usually contains only an image and needs OCR, which this tool does not pretend to provide.

If you need to remove or rearrange pages before extracting text, use the editor's page tools first.

Continue your PDF workflow: Extract PDF Pages Keep only the pages you need first., Delete PDF Pages Remove unwanted pages from a document. or PDF to PNG Save pages as images instead.

PDF to text is not OCR

PDF text extraction reads text that is already stored in the document. It does not recognise words from pixels in a scan, so image-only PDFs may return little or no text.

Being clear about that boundary protects your document quality: the tool will not invent OCR output or send private scans to an external processing service.
