Most free PDF editors won't tell you where they stop, so here's ours plainly. DoceasePDF cannot retype the text already baked into a PDF — PDFs aren't Word documents, and true in-place paragraph editing isn't supported. The workaround is to white out the old text and type the replacement over it.
There is no OCR, so text inside a scanned image stays an image and won't become searchable. There is no PDF-to-Word or Word-to-PDF conversion. And white-out is a visual cover-up, not redaction: the original characters can still sit in the file's data, so use a certified redaction tool for legally sensitive documents.
